From Deadlines to Drizzles

The rain is here. Wind swirls.

Clouds hide the sun.

Perfect weather to step outside, sip coffee, and eat the kind of unhealthy snacks my little daughter proudly recommends.

It takes me back. Back to childhood. Back to playing in the rain with my brother for hours. Back to oily, crispy fried treats my parents brought out to us, still steaming in the drizzle.

Now?

I’m in an air-conditioned room. Chained to a desk. Worried about the next meeting. About deadlines.

About problems I don’t know how to solve.

What I’m not worried about?

That this beautiful weather will vanish. That my kids will grow up. That these moments will slip away, forever.

Even as a child, I had homework, exams, and problems. But I never let them stop me from: Playing in good weather. Laughing at family gatherings. Guarding my sacred 30 minutes of cartoons.

So what’s different now?

Nothing – except me. I changed. And I need to change again.

Life will never slow down for you. But you can slow down for life.

Step outside. Feel the drizzle. Laugh with your kids.

The work can wait – your moments can’t.
