Toplet is designed as a local-first macOS utility.
Data we collect
ThinkBySketch does not collect personal data, analytics, advertising identifiers, usage telemetry, Toplet text, checklist content, imported images, or other Toplet content in version 1.0.
Data stored on your Mac
The app stores Toplet content and preferences locally on your Mac so your Toplets can be restored across launches. Depending on the Toplet types you use, this can include:
- text and rotating-text entries
- checklist items and checked state
- imported image copies
- position, size, visibility, opacity, lock state, and appearance
- timer and stopwatch state
- countdown targets
- notification preferences
Imported images selected through the macOS file picker are copied into the app's local Application Support storage.
This locally stored information is not transmitted to ThinkBySketch.
Notifications
If you enable a completion notification for a Timer or Date Countdown, the app uses Apple's local notification system. Notification permission is requested by macOS. ThinkBySketch does not operate a notification server for these alerts.
Launch at Login
If you enable Launch at Login, the app uses Apple's ServiceManagement APIs to register the app with macOS. ThinkBySketch does not receive login or device information from this feature.
Purchases
Toplet Pro is offered as a one-time purchase through the Mac App Store. Apple handles payment processing. The app verifies purchase transactions on your Mac using StoreKit to unlock Pro and restore purchases. ThinkBySketch does not receive your payment-card details or transmit purchase transactions to a developer-operated server.
Accounts, analytics, advertising, and tracking
Version 1.0 currently has no user account, no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no third-party tracking SDK.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated before or alongside the relevant release.
